At Oculus, we’re developing the future of virtual reality. As the Head of Tracking you will lead a group of engineers doing research and development for tracking technology. We're pushing the state of the art in 3D computer vision, and you will help recruit and manage teams of software, computer vision and machine learning engineers. There is significant cross-functional work with close collaboration with hardware, firmware and software teams in multiple geographic locations.


  • Build and lead computer vision team to deliver next-generation tracking technology for virtual reality systems
  • Establish solid project framework and excellent development processes
  • Work closely with various organizations to define and execute long-term technology road maps
  • Set clear expectations and create a positive work environment based on accountability, in collaboration with the engineering and management teams
  • Be highly technical and an effective people manager
  • Define and influence product strategy
  • Recruit world-class talent and provide mentorship to team members

Minimum Qualification

  • MS degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related field
  • 6+ years of management experience in software development, computer vision and/or machine learning
  • 6+ years experience managing engineering teams, including hiring/termination and performance management
  • Coding skills in C++
  • Demonstrated domain knowledge in compute and/or sensing technologies
  • Communication skills with ability to manage cross-team and cross-geography collaboration
