Technical Program Manager, Silicon

As a Silicon Technical Program Manager at Oculus, you will lead multidisciplinary programs through the product development process to develop the next generation of custom and semi-custom mixed signal ICs to drive our industry-leading virtual reality systems. You will establish requirements with internal and external customers, manage program schedules, identify risks and associated mitigation plans, and clearly communicate to program stakeholders. Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Silicon team tracking the definition of next generation silicon architectures for multiple digital and mixed signal ICs, including but not limited to SOCs, analog drivers, power supplies
  • Create development, delivery, and qualification schedules based on system requirements, technical challenges, lead-times and business needs
  • Manage communication within and between internal engineering and external vendor teams
  • Assist engineering and sourcing teams with supplier evaluation and selection
  • Work with teams to set milestones, communicate program statuses, and identify/address potential setbacks
  • Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and product development processes in a quickly-changing and dynamic environment to ensure on time delivery and A0 silicon mass production
  • Manage delivery of samples and mass production parts for the different builds
  • Organize required face to face on site meeting with vendors
  • Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables including specifications and test plans
  • Ensure program documents are complete, current and available for staff and leadership review
  • Contribute to resource planning to ensure program success

Minimum Qualification

  • At least 3 years experience working as a Program Manager on consumer electronics
  • At least 3 years experience working on mixed signal silicon projects
  • BS in Engineering field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with pre-tapeout silicon development methodology and flow (analog and digital)
  • Experience with post-silicon qualification, validation and characterization processes and deliverables
  • Communication, planning skills, and attention-to-detail
  • Experience with program and issue tracking and version control software
  • Ability to operate autonomously across multiple teams and projects
  • Up to 30% travel (~20% international, 10% domestic)
